Wireless technology uses radio waves, and is subject to many of the same problems as mobile phones – interference, distance from the access point, and blocking of signal by large structures or metal objects. All of these things can interfere with the quality of a wireless signal, reducing speed and causing disconnections. However, with a good signal, it is possible to get a connection that is as fast, or faster, than home broadband.
